This litter highlights the triumphs and tragedies of the Holbrook<\/a> rescue.<\/p>\n

Story<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mom Troopah came into our custody on 6\/4\/16 from Holbrook. The babies were born on 6\/4 the night they arrived at their foster home.\u00a0 Troopah came to us with a deeply infected abscess on her face.\u00a0 She was seen by the vet, but due to her nursing litter, there was limited care that could be done until the babies were older.\u00a0 Despite the pain Troopah was in, she took incredible care of her babies.\u00a0 Finally, the babies were old enough for Troopah to go into surgery to have the abscess cared for.\u00a0 Like her name, she was a trooper through the whole ordeal.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the infection had progressed too far and Troopah passed away.\u00a0 She held on long enough for her babies to be weaned and was patient and loving every moment she was with us.<\/p>\n

Now Troopah’s babies are looking for forever homes.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 6\/20\/16<\/strong><\/p>\n

Julia<\/em> – she is my favorite and one gem of a rat..she will push herself under your hand to get scritches.<\/p>\n

Annabelle<\/em> – shyest of them all but coming around nicely with bonding time in pouch nightly.\u00a0 She is more social now and comes to the front of the cage to see the action and will snuggle.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Gabby<\/em> – very social and sweet..likes a good hand wrestle and a snuggle.<\/p>\n

Claire<\/em> – Just like her siblings..very loving and social..loves to wrestle and snuggle.<\/p>\n

Captain <\/em>– Very outgoing boy..loves wrestling and snuggling…all around gorgeous good boy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hook –\u00a0<\/em>Just as wonderful as his brother captain..loves to wrestle and snuggle. Has a crook in his tail that he was born with and his how he got his name.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 8\/3\/16<\/strong><\/p>\n

All the girls love their wheel but especially Julia who runs in it all night at 90 miles per hour.<\/p>\n
