They came into our custody on 4\/16\/16.\u00a0 The boys were neutered on 6\/6\/16 and can live with ladies on 6\/27\/16.<\/p>\n<p>The girls live with the <a href=\"http:\/\/mainelyratrescue.org\/rattieblog2\/?p=12546\">Cabin Pressure Boys <\/a>and can be mixed and matched, although the girls seem to be sweet on Douglas!<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 4\/26\/16 on Cedar &amp; Oak:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Cedar<\/em> is very outgoing, and <em>Oak<\/em> is a close second! The two are best friends and are always sleeping together. They both come right to the door whenever I open it. They will take treats from your hands and are adorable during play time out on the couch!<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 4\/27\/16 Sassafras, Persimmon, Crabapple, &amp; Sumac:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Sassafras<\/em> and <em>Persimmon<\/em> are both more bold than the others&#8212;kings of the mountain. \u00a0They are the first to investigate a new treat being offered, and are comfortable being handled.<\/p>\n<p><em>Crabapple<\/em> and <em>Sumac<\/em> are bashful tourists, but boy do they love baby food! \u00a0When I offer it on a spoon they stay at the front of the cage to eat it, which is a great sign. \u00a0They are too nervous to eat treats when being handled but they are learning to trust fast!<\/p>\n<p>My hope is that Crabapple and Sumac could go home with either Sassafras or Persimmon, or other confident rats, so they can continue to learn by example.<\/p>\n<p>All four also use the litterbox well!<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 4\/26\/16 on Mandy&#8217;s girls:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All three girls are very curious and friendly.<\/p>\n<p><em>Willow <\/em>and <em>Magnolia<\/em> are pretty similar &#8211; very adventurous, quick to climb out and explore when the cage is open, and like being handled.<\/p>\n<p><em>Clementine<\/em> is much more shy and more reluctant to explore outside of the cage.
