#20250303, “Thelma”, Rat, Pink-Eyed-White, Himalayan, Standard Ears/Standard Coat, Female, DOB: 12/30/2024, Spayed/Neutered?: No

#20250304, “Louise”, Rat, Black, , Standard Ears/Standard Coat, Female, DOB: 12/30/2024, Spayed/Neutered?: No

UPDATE 10/31/25:

These two girls have really started to come out of their shells while here.

Thelma (Himalayan) is the braver of the two girls, with a bit of a bossy attitude who takes no guff from man or rat. Louise (brown) is a little more reserved and laid back. Both will come up to the front of the cage and see what type of treats you might have for them. They’ve also started to begrudgingly allow themselves to get scooped up and will ride shoulders happily. They’ve even started to realize getting some pets feels pretty nice too.

Thelma will still occasionally give an exploratory nip during playtime, but both girls have started to learn that humans are pretty fun, actually! They will run around and climb up on you, and were also great playmates for some older foster girls who they were introduced to easily. They seemed to really enjoy having other rats around.

With some time, love and attention from a patient, rat-experienced human I have no doubt these girls will continue to grow into great partners in crime!
