UPDATE 1/14/17

“These girls are the perfect girls. They both love to cuddle, play, and explore and are the smartest rats I have ever met.

Eliza is a silly little troublemaker. She’s so smart that she’s just like a little raccoon–always getting into something. She loves to explore, try to find her way into new rooms, open boxes, and figure out new toys. As I’m writing this, she just opened up the door to the kitchen and is proudly prancing off. The good news is she knows her name and comes when you call (though it helps to have something tasty to offset the satisfaction she’d rather be getting from exploring somewhere new). She is a very confident rat and never hides or startles. One she has tired herself out from exploring she’ll gladly rest in your arms to get pets or hang out in a hoodie and just relax.

Munchkin is making it tough to type right now because she is licking my hands, and I don’t even taste like anything delicious! She is a little kisser. From the first moment I met her she has been kissing every surface of human she can get her mouth on. If you’re the kind of person who really likes dentists of the furred and whiskered variety, she may be the one for you! She is sweet and cuddly and gets along with everyone. She also knows her name, but to a lesser extent than Eliza. She is also incredibly smart, and figured out a learning toy I got for the rat room in a matter of minutes.

The girls also love their boyfriend Panther Lily–it was love at first sight, and they all cuddle together in a big pile and groom each other. Panther was a little shy before he met them but immediately came out of his shell and became a different, confident, and cuddly rat nearly overnight.

Both girls would be the perfect rats for anyone of any age. If you are on the fence about rats, they are the perfect pair to win you over. They need to go to a home where they will get a lot of attention and have a lot of room to explore. They would also love to go to someone who will train them more and teach them lots of tricks!”
