Irene

#12009, “Irene Adler”, Rat, Fawn Hooded, Standard Ear/Coat, Spayed Female, DOB 08/10/10

Sweet Irene came from an over crowded animal shelter in Maine back in January 2012. At that time she was considered to me a senior ratizen and since she was already spayed when we got her, she was the perfect candidate to pair up with our, already aging, Sherlock Holmes who was suffering from severe loneliness. Irene and Sherlock fell in love the moment they meant and Irene stayed by Sherlock’s side until the very end. Now that Sherlock is gone we re-evaluated Irene and determined that she is still in fantastic physical & mental health! Irene is 26 months old but does not act a day over 18 months! She is still curious and sassy and the boss of everything and everyone.  But there is one thing we should mention……Irene has a weight problem. It is obvious that food has been her crutch for most of her adult life and we do not expect that to change! Some might call her “squishy” or “plump” but to be honest, Irene is morbidly obese for a rat!

It does make her very endearing though, we really must say 🙂  Take a look!

PS: Irene is living with Lily, Patti & Jelly and can go home with any of them!
