UPDATE 5/5/18:

Remi: This tiny little lady has a soft shiny coat. She’s bright, active-but not hyper, curious, and confident. A busy young girl so not really into being held but doesn’t mind being picked up. I hear she likes to ride on shoulders but I’ve not tried this out yet. She takes treats very politely and gently. She loves to climb and explore, but isn’t reckless; she will not, for example, try to jump off a high surface. Remi would be good with children and would be a great rat for a first time adopter.

Zumi: Zumi is a bit shyer than Remi, and will resist being picked up. We’re working on getting her more used to being handled. She will accept treats from my hands but does so with some hesitation. She loves to “steal” scraps of paper to make her lovely nests with; it’s a riot seeing her drag sheets of paper that are 3 times her size up and down ramps. She’s very serious about her nest building business! Zumi also has a soft shiny coat and those adorable nose and butt spots that will gradually darken as she gets older, she is going to be a gorgeous lady. Right now, she’s mostly “just” cute. She prefers to sleep inside cube hammocks and huts, preferably with her carefully crafted paper door shut. I like to imagine a “do not disturb” sign on that door. She needs her beauty sleep, don’t you know? Zumi would also be ok with a first time adopter who can give her the time she needs to warm up to them; she should also be ok with respectful children.”
