Sadly Basil and Willy have to be surrendered by their loving Mom as circumstances have changed for her family and it has became necessary to re-home her pets. She will be fostering them in Lewiston, Maine until we can find the right home for them. These boys were born in January 2008.

Jared and JoJo are already spoken for but will be going to the vet tech school for 3 weeks where they will help the students learn about handling and caring for rats. No invasive procedures will be performed on the boys and absolutely no harm will come to them. MRR has decided to take a […]

Edward (beige split cap, 1 year old, male) and Timpleton (black hooded, 1 1/2 year old, male) were surrendered to a local shelter when their owner had to make an emergency move and could not take the boys. Edward and Timpleton are both VERY social and friendly boys.

These sweet bonded sisters are being fostered in Dover, NH. They turned 1 year old on 10/22 and were some of the first babies born while in MRR custody. They were born to a young Sarah who was part of the very first large MRR rescues last fall. These rats were the reason MRR was formed.

Tracy and Sugar are 3 month old females. They were surrendered to MRR because their owner developed an allergy to them and could not overcome it. The girls are very well socialized, sweet and loving. They will fit in well in most any family.

11/15/08 Update: Regretfully, Priscilla has passed away due to unknown circumstances. Maggie is now in MRR custoday, being fostered with Kim in Falmouth, ME. Maggie was covered in scabs and lice was visible (to our trained eye) so we think Priscilla died due to complications from the parasite infestation.
